Magill School is a zoned school with a Capacity Management Plan. Living in Magill zone does not guarantee enrolment at the school. We do not currently register families outside of our school zone.

Magill School is a zoned school. Families must be able to provide ‘adequate proof of residency’ for living in the school zone, for the registration process to begin. Families who live outside the Magill School catchment area can also register.

Term 1 – 2026
Date of Birth: 1st May, 2020 – 30th April, 2021
Term 3 – Mid-year – 2026
Date of Birth: 1st May, 2021 – 31st October, 2021
Students enrolled through a mid-year intake will complete 6 terms of reception.
IN ZONE Enrolments
Families are required to provide ‘adequate proof of residency’ (see below) and ‘proof of age’ to begin the process of registration. Once all documentation has been provided to the school, you will be issued a ‘registration of interest’ form to complete and return. Your child will then be placed on our register for consideration for enrolment in 2026.
We do not give out registration forms until proof of residency has been provided.
What do I need to provide to begin the registration process?
Providing ‘Adequate proof of residency’ (see detailed information below)
Families must be physically living in the Magill School zone to enable an in zone ‘registration of interest’ to begin. All documentation relating to ‘Adequate Proof of Residency’ must be provided to the school in the first instance, along with ‘Proof of Age’.
‘Proof of Age’
Child’s Birth Certificate/Passport, Visa Documents, Student Reports and/or Specialist Assessments (if relevant).
Once the ‘adequate proof of residency’ and the ‘proof of age’ documents have been provided to the school in their entirety; the school will provide you with a ‘registration of interest’ form to complete.

Children who live outside of the school’s local (out-of-zone) area with older siblings currently attending the school will receive automatic entry during the registration of interest process for the coming school year, where:
Families who live outside of Magill School zone can register their interest for 2026 and are required to provide the same documentation as in zone registrations. Offers are made using a specified criteria applied to ensure fairness.

Each of the criteria once applied gives us a priority order for out of zone registrations, if any vacancies exist.
If you have emigrated to Australia, please provide us with your Visa papers and Visa Number. If your child has limited oral and written English, there is an expectation that they attend an Intensive English Language program to develop their English proficiency. We do not enrol any International program students or short term placements of overseas students.

It is the responsibility of the parents applying for enrolment to be able to verify to the satisfaction of the school that the information provided is true and factual. If a child is enrolled on the basis of false or misleading information (including residential address) the Chief Executive may direct that the child be instead enrolled at another Government school pursuant to section 63(1) of the Education and Children’s Services Act 2019.
We DO NOT GIVE OUT ENROLMENT FORMS until an enrolment has been confirmed by the principal.
